Great League
Attack
- Note: These Atk BPs aren’t as valuable as high Def and the min HP
- 127.3: The mirror match
- Even covers Def stats beyond the “Rank 1” Trevenant
- 129-132.2: Altaria
- Potential for the 1-1 Shield scenario
- 127.8: Haunter
- Straight Fast Move KO with 1 Shield
- 128.12+: Mew
- Potential for the 2-2 and farming scenarios
- Players have no control over Mew IVs so here’s Atk weight vs range
- 128.12 ~58%
- 128.45 ~67%
- 128.7 ~81%
- 130.44 100%
Defense
- 105.8+: Altaria, Azumarill, Bastiodon, and Skarmory
- Can be missed on a lot of these if the opponent has a high enough Atk weight
- 104.6-105.8: Hex & Fire Spin Alolan Marowak, Golbat, and Cofagrigus
- Can flip the 1-1, 1-1, and 2-2 respectively
- This also includes the Atk Cofagrigus from the Cofagrigus PvP IV Deep Dive
- 104.6: If you’re going to thrift on Def, try not to go much lower than this
- Can flip the 1-1, 1-1, and 2-2 respectively
Stamina/HP
- 132+: Greater niche potential in Bastiodon, Azumarill, and Galar Stunfisk matchups
- 129+: Helps in Mirror and some Bastiodon scenarios
- 128+: Galar Stunfisk 1-1 consistency
- Note: Dipping lower in HP is probably alright if you’re bringing your Def over 105.8
Trevenant’s ideal Great League IVs are a little complicated. There are few Atk Breakpoints worth pursuing, but you also want Charge Move Priority (CMP) in the mirror. There are a lot of Def Breakpoints, but many of them are missable if the opponent has a high enough Atk stat. The only reliable cut off is HP, but HP is often nebulous compared to Atk/Def breakpoints in practice. As a result, you either want higher Def than the “Rank 1” (maximum stat product) or something like the Rank 1 itself.
The table below highlights the 10 “best” IV spreads for Great League Trevenant. If you lack these 10 spreads, this link features 49 alternative “very good” IV spreads for Trevenant. If you don’t have any, keep the stat check offs featured above in mind when deciding on which Trevenant to build for the Great League.

Trevenant’s ideal Ultra League IVs can be divided into 2 categories: XL Trevenant and Level 40 Trevenant. Only XL Trevenant can hit the highlighted Def BPs, but Level 40 Trevenant can flex into Ultra League Classic Cups, easily hits the Atk BPs, and generally has dominance in the Mirror. Overall, Level 40 Trevenant is recommended but XL Trevenant has its perks.
The table below highlights the 9 “best” IV spreads for Level 40 Ultra League Trevenant. Level 40 Trevenant cannot reach the Def BPs or 170 HP, so it’s best to focus on dominating Galar Stunfisk and the Mirror Match. If you don’t have these IV spreads, this link features 26 other “very ok” IV spreads.

This next table features the 15 “best” IV spreads for XL Trevenant in the Ultra League. 170 HP was chosen as the cut off because if you’re going to choose XL Trevenant over Level 40 Trevenant, then you ought to be getting that XL Skarmory consistency in as well as the Def BPs. As before, here’s a link to 64 alternative “not as good as these but still good” IV spreads for XL Trevenant.

Closing
When it comes to Trevenants “ideal” Great League IVs, there are only a few “really good” ones. Don’t let not having the featured IV spreads stop you from using Trevenant in the Great League though, as even a mediocre Trevenant is a force to be reckoned with. Level 40 Ultra League Trevenant is much easier to get ideal spreads for as they have an Egg/Research/Raid IV floor, as such it could be worthwhile to hold out and be picky here. XL Trevenant does have its perks in the Ultra League, but given how relative its value is compared to Level 40 Trevenant, you ought to be extra picky when it comes to the IVs.
If you feel PvP IVs are overly complicated now, just imagine how ridiculous a Gourgeist PvP IV Deep Dive would be. All four sizes have unique Atk/Def/HP weights. Thankfully Trevenant is objectively superior to Gourgeist (all four sizes) in almost every way. Almost. Let’s not pull that thread any further, shall we?
