STAB/Typing Question

I am relatively new to understanding STAB. I have figured out that if you use an attack that is the same type pokemon the attack does 1.25x damage. So I guess I'm looking for an explanation of how these stack. For example a Venomoth uses a bug move on an Exeggutor. Bug is super effective against grass and psychic, so it's attack should stack strictly based on the typing to do "Move Damage"x1.25(super effective for grass)x1.25(super effective for psychic). But say the "move" used by the Venomoth was Bug Bite does that mean it gets a STAB multiplier as well? So the move really does 1.25x1.25x1.25?

it does,
same as hitting Dragonite,
ice pokemon using ice move will be 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25

Thanks for the info! No wonder why my Lapras kills Dragonites hundreds of co higher than it. I need to try a Venomoth out now, Exeggutors are common in gyms around me.

Just be careful - Exeggutors have a godly attack power, so your Venomoth might get squelched in spite of the favorable type advantages.

Another word of warning... Venomoth is also poison, so you're adding to the Exeggutor's psychic stack. You are better off with a non-poison bug like Scyther, Pinsir, and Parasect.
