Overview

The first of the Tao Trio, Reshiram is basically a walking nuke. Its fast moves tend to be threatening because one deals high base damage while the other hits its top general counters for Super Effective damage, while its charged moves are generally nukes with the exception of Crunch, which is easily spammable. The list of Pokemon that can effectively make the duo is slim, and moveset/weather can greatly shift the viability of the duo as a whole.

Approach

Team composition

  • The top dragons have the best general performance

  • This fight favors those with flexible team options

  • Be ready to change your Pokemon team based on Reshiram's moveset

  • Be ready to change your Pokemon team based on the weather

  • Shadows can help beat the clock

Battling strategy

  • Re-entering will be necessary. Have a backup team ready or stick with maximum DPS options and be very quick with your max revives.

  • Try to stagger fainting so that Reshiram doesn't recover. It might be best to have one player back out and quickly heal/return in order to keep from having both players faint out at once.

  • Dodging is very much recommended

Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
