Can this Venusaur be my prime grass type?

I was patient and lcuky enough to evolve a 98% Buba to this amazing Venusaur with Vine Whip/Solar Bean, which was awesome, what a cool pkm my friends! LOL However its on lvl 20 approx 1500 CP and I already have an Exeggcutor with 2100. Should I invest dust on him knowing it will never match up with my 95% Exeggcutor on max CP on upper levels? your thoughts
I am lvl 27, 300k dust

Trade it. There are much better grass Pokemon/move sets and you are bound to run into another 90%+ IV at some point

Vine Whip/Solar Beam is the best grass moveset in the game (with Razor Leaf/Solar Beam being the second). It's way better than any grass move you may get on an Exeggutor (given he may get only a grass charge attack)

The one who said you should trade it don't know what you he is talking about.

Power it up, and use it along with your Exeggutor (if it has a grass move) to take down all those Water types mons on gyms.

i wouldn't waste your dusts on a venusaur tbh since theirs better pokemon for attacking and defending and gets countered really fast but i'd say save your dusts for a better pokemon unless you really really want to keep it around then by all means power it up.

I Envy you bro for an Amazing IV and rank A offensive move set Venusaur. I would suggest you to keep it and not power up since you can always go to gym battle at your type advantage (I assume you would not use your Venusaur to attack an Arcanine/Charizard) thus your 1500CP Venusaur can always take down 2000CP Water Pokémon if you know how to dodge and do good timings in using charge moves and that average CP will be very useful in training gyms. You should spend your stardust to your pokemons with rank A/B defensive moveset so that it stick at the gym a bit longer for daily coins =)

I have a venusaur with above 80% iv's and vine whip solar beam at 2100cp and use it all the time because most of my good exeggutors are busy defending gyms so yeah exeggutor is the best grass type but a strong venusaur is worth having if you want to hold a lot of gyms and still take more out

It's worth the investment with so many water based mons. Many gyms have more than 1 Vape. I almost have the same venusaur. Slightly less IV though. It's a fantastic attacker.

The game has been out for awhile, I see many Vapes in the 2300 range so you would need to invest some. Mines right at 2000 and it's a beast, much better than victreebell in my opinion, almost as useful as exeggutors. Grass ftw. I hate Vapes.

You absolutely should not trade it whoever said that is a troll. Yes, Exeggutor is a better grass but with the ubiquity of Vaporeon every solid grass type is gold. Remember the 4 big grasses: Exeggutor, Venusaur, Vileploom, Victreebel. Any of them with amazing IVs and a grade "A" movest is a keeper. Congrats!

Power it up. Exeggutor doesn't get any grass quick attack. Venusaur is the best option if you you ont an grass especialist, followed by Victreebel and Vileplume.

Keep it, don't power it up. That fella will do an amazing job powering up established friendly gyms. There will always be a vaporeon or 12 in there.... Save your dust for gym defenders. That's a really nice poke. Jealous! A pokes value is not always what it's cp is.

Power that beast up, maybe even to level 30! What with the ubiquity of Vaporeons, you can never have enough excellent grass-types in your inventory. Besides, it looks like you have enough dust to do so (assuming you aren't saving the dust for a dozen other mons or anything).

Power it up.

-Vaporeons are super common.
-Exeggutor doesn't have a grass quick move
-Other pokemon (Parasect, tangela, other low CP of the big grass) can be used to power up friendly gyms, so don't just keep it for a gym prestige booster.
