Are his attacks decent for defending? What about his typing? What about his max cp?
Well, it gets destroyed by Vaporeon. Vape attacks SE into it, and all quick moves Pilo have access to are ice type, so Vape will resist those too.
In addition, its max CP is pretty low - just above 2,2k.
The only thing Pilo really has going for it is decent bulk - 200 stamina is pretty good, but not nearly enough to make up for its many defensive flaws.
His stats are decent, all 3 charge moves have good defensive ratings. That stone edge comes quick and hurts pretty bad. But like so many pokemon, he is limited by his max cp. As always, this comes down to your area. I'll stick an 1800 cp one in a gym with a few lower cp pokemon, but in the vast majority of gyms, he will only get placement in the last spot...
