If they didn't have Lunar New Years or other cultural holidays I don't see how a St. Patricks day event is justified. Easter should be a big one, but I would not want to hold onto so much candy if I wanted to level up . A month is alot of time to reacquire alot of candy. I would just save the rare ones like Dratini, Larvitar, or Mareep if you're not in a rush w/ those.

I guess we would have had an announcement by now. That is disappointing. I can no longer justify "saving my candy". Waiting another month for easter is just too long. I'm gonna blow my candy this weekend and then maybe start saving up again a week or two before easter.

the sucky thing is , when you are in an area with limited pokestops , even grinding for candies take way longer than a month so if lets say i used mine now i will in no way be able to have a worth of lucky egg mass evolution next month , we dont celebrate St patrick or any thing but who cares hope nintaic do double XP or something for the green celebration
Yeah, that sucks. I typically complain that my small town has zero interesting pokemon, which is true. The only pokemon of any interest that I have caught have been when I have been out of my town. But at least we do have some pokestops close to each other and we have plenty of Pidgeys, Rattatas, Weedles, Ledybas and ESPECIALLY Sentrets (these are absolutely everywhere), so stocking up on candy for pokemon that costs 12-25 candy to evolve is not hard, just boring. But not even having access to that must suck.
I really hope that something big is coming soon because it has been a month since last game update and a month too since last event (I will never count hat pikachu as an event and I really hope that Niantic does not).
A month without any update on this kind of game is a lot of time, they could do hundreds of things, it does not even have to be something huge, for example dropping shinies would be a nice move at this point, or even considering breeding.
This company is not doing well in keeping their base users interested, and I think they have a bad conception of their own game, they are probably targeting people that plays like 10 or 20 mins per day while probably most of us play at least 1h or 1h30, I think that time is more close to the average.
If you really think about it you can only do 2 things, catch/hatch or take gyms, we need more and need it soon, or it will happen the same as happened with gen1, after this month most of us will have almost completed dex again, with the rare exceptions (Tyranitar and Ampharos), gen2 has fewer mon than gen1 and people knowledge of spawns, nests and habitats is like 500% higher than before, people is more tired of farming xp because we are at higher levels, we also have pinap berries and hatching/walking is less rewarding, also taking gyms because of the huge population of spoofers. This does not look good.
