I think the larger the number the better. For example, a rating of 10 is better than a rating of 9. A rating of 8 is better than a rating of 6.

I'm not sure they are fully updated yet, so my best advice might be to ignore them.

While I appreciate the ratings on here and the Tier Lists I take it with a grain of salt. It is a good starting point and gives you an idea on where to start.

But I mostly use personal experience with gym battles to figure things out. For example for Espeon they list Confusion/Psychic as a "D" move for defense. That might be true when based on defensive DPS but dodging Psychic can be very difficult if you don't have a lot of practice and aren't concentrating. It might be Espeon's "D" move but I wouldn't hesitate to power up a good Espeon with that moveset for D if you got it.

Espeon hits like a truck and missing a dodge on a Psychic is no joke. I actually have a maxed out Alakazam with C/Psychic too. I know when people battle my guys they will be taking a lot of damage. Any lag or delay on dodging and they are done.
