Overview
Armored Mewtwo has high defense and high-powered charged moves that can severely threaten many of its would-be counters. As such, knowing its moveset is paramount to approaching this fight. If you intend to short-man, take every advantage that you can; get to Best Friends, look for the right weather (generally fog, though many are still unconvinced that it exists), and scout its moveset. Even then, be ready to do a bit of dodging and have a second team ready for if you need to relobby.
Armored Mewtwo is a tough one, but it's definitely doable in a trio even without having every ideal boost. Just be ready for a hard fight!
Approach
Team composition
- Scout its moveset first!
- Front-load advantageous glass-cannons like Gengar
- An anchor or two may help keep your team alive
- Giratina-Origin is a fantastic general pick
Battling strategy
-
Re-entering will be necessary; have a second ready or get ready to revive very quickly.
-
Dodging specific moves such as Earthquake is definitely recommended.
Note: "Good" movesets are not necessarily viable at the level indicated.
