Egg Hatching and legendaries

I was reading some question about how rare is grimer in eggs, and some answer saying that also, but for me is not that rare... I've hatched around 780 eggs, and 12 grimers, but fucking tons of staryus, poliwags, odish, parras, venonat and krappies...Not even a single shelder or seel. I only play in my school (very big one) and I always pick up my eggs from the same 9 pokestops. And the results are always the same. It seems that one poke stop only gave staryus and one only poliwags :( I know RNG but I dont have a single shelder, or seel, and tons of fuckin same crap. It is location based? I have friends in the beach who hatches (this is the most important) and catches tons of shelders, and not even a single glimer WTF?

Also, have you ever think in the IVs and movesets of the legendaries. Imagine fighting with your 28% IVs mewtwo with a fighting move...

Eggs are based on location.

They are basically a random encounter that is set to appear in inventory after 2/5/10 k of "walking" with IVs base line 10/10/10.

Eggs are specific to biomes, rock biome gets more Geodude, etc.

From recent studies, people have said that there is not enough evidence to prove or disprove the idea that eggs are biome dependant.
However, there are enough people with claims similar to yours, to indicate that eggs are indeed biome dependant.

Sure, this is not very scientific, but at some point enough anecdotal evidence starts to highlight a pattern. One person in isolation is not a 'sample size' but once 'anecdotal' is verified by enough people, it does start to indicate a pattern.

In my eyes, eggs a definitely biome dependant.

If you want different eggs...try different stops.

Take your time and cry in piece. Then you can safely return here, emotion-free, my delicate friend...

As for the question, aSp got it covered.

I only ever hatched one grimer and that was back in July and only until this Friday did I hatch another. That makes a grand total of two grimers ive ever had since they havent spawned at all for me. As for stuff like shellder and seel i've managed to hatch a few shelder despite being in an area no where near water and seel ive only ever hatched once but my campus had a nest of it recently though according to the silphs road egg study seel is a super rare hatch apparently.
