Safe your candies
I have some really strong pokemon which I want to power up, but because of ,, Safe your candies'' I'm still waiting.So power up my Pokemon(Blissey,Snorlax,Rhydon...) or wait a bit longer?

I'm ready for a mass evolution, in particular some good Gen 2 guys and a Snorlax power up but I'm supposed to "save my candies".
For all I know I will be saving for the next 6 months.
But I would kick myself if right after I did the evolutions and power ups they offered half-candy evolutions or half priced power ups. Lose my mind.
I deliberately ignored the message, in terms of powering up. "Save your candies"...for when they'll become useful in 3 months time? ;) Dunno...I may regret it, sure. But at least I'm enjoying myself right now. I must admit that I'm holding on evolutions, but the main reason for that is that I want to gather as many Gen2 new evolutions as possible to use my last lucky egg and get the double XP for adding them to the pokedex (nothing to do with "save your candies")
I think the safe way to play it is if powering up will get your mon in a gym NOW, then it's probably worth it...
Save your candies could be Easter, summer, St. Pats day, who knows...
But if you have stagnant gyms in your area and a 3000CP mon near the top will get you 10 coins/500 dust a day, I'd powerup in an instant.
This is, of course assuming you don't have minimal dust left.
It's too hard to wait/know if that guy meant anything and 3 or 6 months is a long time to wait which could translate to 15000 stardust (1 month if Easter timeframe) or 45k dust (3 months).
There will certainly be an Easter event due to eggs being a popular thing with Easter in general.
I'm holding off on a mass evolution, but went ahead and committed my one and only Chansey so that she could get into a level 8 gym with 2 other Blissey's (which are still really rare around here.... so far so good, couple of days and the gym is holding - I'm hoping it's a keeper (there were a couple of lower CP PKM to prestige against before hitting this wall of Blissey, unfortunately mine will be the lowest one if someone starts chipping away...). Also unfortunately she got I guess the worst possible moveset, Pound/Psychic - but I fed her every last one of my hard-earned walked candy - she's still hungry, LOL!
