Niantic has announced that every Monday in October will bring with it a single free remote raid pass. This is just in time for Moltres' return, the highly anticipated re-release of Giratina-Origin Forme into raids with its shiny forme, and the mystery Pokemon that is set to come after.

Other possibilities include using them on Mega Raids. Mega Houndoom is a particularly powerful Pokemon with genuine utility in Giratina - Origin raids, as well as Mega Gengar raids, which will be released around the upcoming Halloween event. Either way, these passes are sure to be useful in the near future, and can help hold us over while Niantic continues work on the promised Mega Evolution system reform.
The Feeling of Victory
As many have already noticed, Victini's special research line,The Feeling of Victory, has been officially released. This special research line will grant the mythical Pokemon Victini to any players that don't yet have it, additional Victini candy to those who do.
Initially released during Go Fest 2020, Victini is the Fire/Psychic type Mythical Pokemon from the Unova region. While it's yet to carve a solid niche for itself in any meta thus far, it is great that it will now be available to the general playerbase. Enjoy a limited-time promotion for Remote Raid Passes! From Monday, October 5, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Monday, November 30, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PST (GMT −8), there will be a free Remote Raid Pass available every Monday.
Each Remote Raid Pass will be available for only a week, so be sure to check the in-game shop each week to claim that week’s Remote Raid Pass before it’s gone.
As a reminder, you must have fewer than three Remote Raid Passes to claim the weekly free Remote Raid Pass.
With a Remote Raid Pass, you’ll be able to join any Raid Battle you can see in the RAID section of the Nearby screen or that you can tap on the map. Did you know that the faster you win a raid, the more rewards you’ll get? Be sure to battle in raids with your friends so you can win as fast as possible! No matter where your friends are, you can invite them to your raid lobby as long as they have a Remote Raid Pass.
