blissey moveset

I have a blissey with ZH/HB. rhydon, being the most logical counter, has resistance to HB.

with 75 candy and another blissey worth evolving, would it be better to evolve and pray for a moveset that isn't so easily countered or just power up the one I've got?

Hmm, don't think Rhydon is the logical counter for Blissey. I'd say more fighting type like Machamp.

is it not? machamp is weak to psychic whilst rhydon is resistant to normal, not to mention the comparison in defense (which is a weighty consideration if you wanna be able to deal with blissey using one slot).

Blissey is normal type not Psy. So she's weak to fighting mons.

yeah and rhydon with RS/SE or RS/E is gonna perform very well against a blissey, as it does with snorlax. considering blissey could potentially have ZH/P it could be pretty lethal to a somewhat fragile machamp.

I'm not saying Rhydon couldn't perform well, I was just saying that the logical counter for a normal type is a fighting as it's their only weakness. You can name some other who could perform well like Exeggutor or Alakazam but they're not "logical" counter ;)

but that logic ignores the movesets of blissey and rhydon which do not match the typing. "fighting" as the counter is a fighting move, not the typing of the species. a fighting type could, quite feasibly, have no fighting moves. it would still take SE damage from psychic and would therefore be a bad matchup for blissey. also, unless you wanna bring in more than one mon to deal with blissey, rhydon's stats and typing would make it more likely to survive. as well as all that, rhydon is far more common that machamp, alakazam or dragonite. it is therefore the logical counter. surely?! it's too late for this ;-;

I would power it up. That is probably the second or third best defensive moveset.

Power it up...or you are committing to Chansey/Blissey as your buddy at some point.
...besides, there is no guarantee of a better moveset, and the odds are with you getting a worse one.
