I just caught a Geodude 982CP 97,8% IV.
Should i evolve it and hope for a double rock moveset or wait for the rework?

EDIT: I got a Golem 2406 with RT/SE :) !

What would waiting accomplish? You'd evolve the thing either way right? The only thing that might merit waiting is new moves, but I doubt that's part of the gym rework.

Could wait then. But then you also run the risk of having a good moveset become legacy.

But I still sincerely doubt new moves are part of the gym rework. I think it will be gym mechanics that change.

I'd evolve it because if double rock becomes legacy, you'll be out of luck from getting that move.

If there is a BETTER double rock move, then you can still catch/find/evolve more Geodudes during that time (like DT/O now) when/if that happens...

I've evolved all my high IV Geodudes already (as well as all my high IV Machops)...

Has this Golem really, really good IVs? If not, i would maybe evolve the 98%-dude.
Two good movesets are available now, maybe they will be taken.

Time to invest dust into Golem will come when the Gen1-Birds are out imo.
