New Event: Detective Pikachu Tie-In
On Monday, May 6, Niantic announced that an event that corresponds with the release of the Detective Pikachu movie will begin tomorrow, May 7. From then until May 17th:
- New raids featuring Pokemon from the movie
- Charizard, Lickitung, Machamp pictured in video
- Pokemon from the movie will appear more frequently in the wild
- Shiny Aipom available
- Detective Pikachu available as a photobomb
- Double Catch XP
- New Field Research
- New clothing options in the shop
