PVE Offensive Moves Explanation

  • Tackle your opponents like a man squirrel and then Body Slam them with STAB.
  • Bite only what you can chew Crunch, which is probably Psychic and Ghost Pokemon.
  • Mud slinging poor Greedent isn't good, so please don't use Mud Shot.
  • Real tough squirrels don't spit Bullet Seeds from a distance. And smart trainers don't use Greedent for attacking.
  • Let other Pokemon pave the way, don't use Trailblaze on Greedent.

PVE Defensive Moves Explanation

  • The first line of defense as a squirrel is to spit Bullet Seeds at the approaching attackers.
  • If they get close, Tackle them to the ground.
  • If that fails, then the last option is to Bite.
  • Squirrels aren't well known for throwing mud, but Greedent can use Mud Shot in a pinch.
  • Fighting-types laugh when you try to Crunch them, so it's better to Body Slam instead.
  • Trailblaze is okay, but not great.

PVE Overview

Its name is called Greedent for a reason, because at best it can put a dent in its opponent. The "Gree" part? .....they don't pay me enough to make bad jokes.

PvP Moveset Explanation

Mud Shot + Body Slam and Crunch

Mud Shot's fantastic energy generation lets Greedent rapid-fire Body Slams, while keeping Crunch in the back to hit Psychic- and Ghost-type Pokémon.

PvP Rating Explanation

Great League: 3.5 / 5

Greedent is a bulky Body Slam user. We already have a few of those, and Greedent doesn't do a ton to let itself stand out. While its straight up win rate vs the Great League metagame isn't fantastic on paper, its performance skyrockets with a little bit of energy advantage. This makes it extra powerful as a safe swap. With the buffs to Crunch in Season 9, Greedent moves up the ranks a bit.

Ultra League: 4 / 5

Normal-type Body Slam user with anti-Ghost coverage. Sound familiar? In Ultra League, Greedent generally ends up feeling like Snorlax, though it lacks coverage against Steels and Obstagoon. What it does offer is more spamminess and more reliable anti-Ghost / Psychic damage

Master League: 0 / 5

Greedent gets nowhere near the CP required to compete in Master League.
