Now before I get told stop crying or whining on the whole gold digger part hear me out. The only reason I feel that way about it right now is because we get each one of these dogs for a whole month which most people will probably get bored of them 2 or 3 weeks in. The catch rate is the same as lugia and not the gen 1 birds which makes zero sense imo and basically until mewtwo is actually "officially released" we still have to do raids at multiple different gyms in hopes of getting invited. How do you raid? Raid passes and I know most the people around my area and even people on gp don't just use there one free raid pass and call it a day, so basically that leads to you spending money for them and how many raid passes you buy within 3 months that's gonna add up so that would be why I feel that way about niantic's recent actions.
My other theory or possibility is that niantic pushed the release of mewtwo way too soon(maybe to keep people playing?) They didn't have enough time to release him so they released gen 2 dogs for 3 months so they can get mewtwo ready within that time period. Let me know if anyone agrees or has a similar/different opinion on what niantic are up to.
I agree that Niantic are gold diggers, but let's be real. It is a commercial company. They are excellent in making money.
Furthermore, you could also reason it the other way around. We get more chances to use our free passes on the beast instead of a week. Less pressure for some, less reasons to spend money on passes.
Just play the game the way you like to play it. Spending money is still your own choice in the end.
Oh no I agree completely mewtwo should of been released by now or even before lugia at this point imo. I guess I should of said it differently, when I meant they pushed him too soon I meant they announced him for a certain date but weren't able to get him released on time making me believe either they weren't even ready to release him yet or they had some issues that needed to be fix with mewtwo or the new exclusive raids.
