Golem with Rock Blast

Is it worth using TM to try for SE? I have 96% I am thinking no because could end up with EQ but if it's significantly worse than SE it might be worth it.

No, it isn't worth TMing. RB is a 3 bar move which avoids over-charging the energy bar, and does the same damage as SE in 2/3 the energy, while not being too slow like AP.

How many TM's do you have and do you need the charged TM's for anything else?

I didnt really need mine so I tmed my Golem to SE. It took me 4 attempts. That said, Id stick with RB as long as I dont have a couple of TM's for playing roulette

No not a big difference between Rock Blast and Stone Hedge to TM

Both, RB and SE are A-Attacking-moves. It is just a matter of taste. I would not use a TM to change those moves.

Rock Throw does great damage but generates energy slowly.
Golem has a high def-Stat and a medium Sta-Stat, it gains little energy by life-loss.
For me, Rock Blast, being a three bar move, matches perfect, it uses little energy and wastes non.

I like my RT/RB-Golem.

I was just about to make this topic. I honestly hate using 3 bar moves for the raid bosses. Because you gotta worry about tapping the screen, then holding for the charge move, then worry about dodging the raid bosses charge move. It's a pain.

Since it seems like RB and SE are very close to each other, should I TM my RT/EQ 89% IV level 30 Golem? Is this a definite yes? Thanks.

I TMed my 97% RT/EQ Golem to RT/SE...I would've been fine with RT/RB myself since I have another RT/SE currently...Now I have 2 at level 30...

No, it is less risky than SE, and Earthquake deals only 71.4% damage to Moltres/Charizard.

Just read Golem's page:
"Stone Edge is on par with Rock Blast. A single bar charge move poses better dogability. A 3 bar charge move results in less instances of over-kill and having to hold onto your charge move. Both attacks have great DPS."

Thanks all for the feedback- as a follow up I really only want to use TM on high iv but dust is at a premium now I have 330k and caught a Golem at level 27 with RT/EQ iv 78% with A15. I have a few 96% at level 20 would require TM and dust, is having attack of 15 golem enough to overcome the lower 78% iv only having to use one TM and less then 30k to bring to level 30?

I did two raids today, one of them I got 2 charged TMs. The other I got fast TM. It had been about a week since a TM, so they can happen in bunches. I spent them on a great IV Golem: EQ to RB. A raided Tyranitar: FB to SE. Machamp: BP to C.
