Device Issues

I'm playing on an older iPhone 5s, and find that I don't get reliable touches all the time. Sometimes, when healing, on the potion or revive screen, I'll have to press the mon 2-4 times to get it to heal. I can only imagine this translates into missed attacks, dodges, and charged attacks during the frenetic moments of combat.

Case in point, I've been having trouble soloing Machamp raids, despite going in with a strong team (IVs listed as a/d/s):
Espeon L 35.5, CP 2770, 12/14/15, Cf/FS
Dragonite L 35.5, CP 3331, 14/14/15, Dt/O
Dragonite L 31, CP 2980, 12/11/5, Dt/O (caught wild at L30)
Exeggutor L 35.5, CP 2696, 15/15/10, Zh/Sol
Exeggutor L 31, CP 2439, 12/9/4, ES/Psychic
Gyarados L35.5, CP 2978, 12/11/14, DT/HP

I have other espeons, but none with FS, and they seem to die really fast, sometimes only getting off one charged attack (probably my phone).

This lineup should reliably win against Machamp, especially with C/CC or BP/CC, yet it's always touch and go. Yesterday took me like 9 tries to beat a BP/CC. So either it's my phone, or I suck at attacking, as best as I can tell.

Thoughts?

Sounds like it's your phone, unfortunately.

There are some things you can do to help it run more optimally.

Give the game a chance to refresh itself by closing out of the game and reloading it before fighting a raid. It'll run a bit more smoothly.

Second, when fighting a raid, have no other applications open besides Pokémon Go, not even music.

If you have Battery Saver on, turn it off.

This should help the phone run the game better.

Also try to check the memory usage of your phone while you play pokémon go without using other applications, some applications consume memory even if you are not using them, if it is not a very important application you can remove it from your phone so the phone has more RAM available.

Always restart the game, quitting all other apps, before raiding. I'll check battery saver, that might be the culprit. Thanks.

It's definitely your phone...I tried to solo Arcanine with a decent team and kept timing out...I also saw spinning balls and rubber banding health at times...

I'll try the Battery Saver to Off next time...I do try to record my screen so maybe I have to give up on that.

This is why PvP isn't going to work for a lot of people...
