So today my wife and I came across a Zapdos Raid. Waited like 20 minutes until more people showed up. We just moved to this city a few days ago and the Biome is completely opposite from where we came from.
10 more players came and we started the lobby up. I noticed her and I were the ONLY Valor players out of 12 total. My phone is kind of slow cause of my service but it's whatever. I even made the comment stating that my wife and I are literally the only Valor players here.
I finally got in after everyone else has been tapping away . We beat it and my phone being as slow as it is, didn't let me see our rewards in real time like everyone else was. Next thing you know I hear someone say "Valor killed it." I was just like hold up, it was just us two. My screen finally came up and sure enough, my wife and I actually dealt the most damage. We weren't even that much higher than everyone else. There were a few level 30+ players besides us on the opposite teams . I'm level 35 and my wife is level 34. Our old desert Biome really made the difference since the players here didn't have many Golems.
Was able to catch it too. Gym was Red also, but we didn't get gym control bonus. Another thing was, I thought first place for damage distribution gave more than 2 balls? Ive gotten 2nd place before and was also rewarded 2 extra Premier Balls.
We all drove to the next Zapdos Raid and they were already talking about doing a private lobby so they can get more balls because 2 of us prevented them from getting it. Made my day and wanted to share that with y'all , but seriously , how exactly does gym control work plus damage contribution when calculating how many Premier Balls you receive?
Gym control bonus is broken currently.
Team bonus can be up to 3 - I think the winning team's percent needs to be higher.
Also, IIRC the damage counter resets for you when you re-enter the battle after all your mons get knocked out, so if you guys didn't have to reenter, you'd have a natural advantage.
Ok. Hopefully the next patch addresses the gym control bug.
The team control threw me off cause like I've said, I've gotten 2nd and received 2 balls. Figured it went 3, 2, 1 for 1st, 2nd , 3rd. Didn't think actual percentage made the difference as long as you won in general for damage dealt as a team.
All the other players most likely had to rejoin and lost their damage bonus...
I hope this is fixed since honestly, I'd like other people to get their credit for their work...I also have no problems if people sit in the lobby after their 1st round...
If we fail, so be it...
Legendaries are hard to catch and people should get their bonuses IMO.
