I still remember that the photo you posted here yesterday had a joystick and spoofing controls on it.

And I'm sure you do with all the people-to-people interactions you get while lying on your couch lol

There are many really cool games that can be played at home, either console or at the computer, even on mobile phone. They are complex, have cool story, smooth graphics, in-game-chat, a good soundtrack, adequate control by keyboard&mouse or gamepad.

Pokemon Go has non of these features. It has one unique selling point - it forces you to go out and makes you meet real people face to face.

A spoofer combines the disadvantages of those two worlds.

Having said this, the only imaginable reason for a player to spoof is, that he wants to annoy real players, he wants to make fun of those who go out, even at rain and snow.

Now, maybe you can understand why no real player likes a spoofer.

I used to be a legit player.
I used to go out and wasted a lot of time and had little reward for it. Then I decided to quit, but tried a map first.
Then started spoofing. Then weeks later I bought a level 33 account for 5 USD. OMG! What a difference it made! It was a whole new world, vivid and full of joy. I was surprised how easy it was and how exciting. One thing I regret about spoofing: I started it too late, should have started earlier. I will never have a Dragonite with DB/DC I longed for.
Being a legit sucks. Trust me, I'm a doctor. Those who travelled to Chicago: sucked. Those who drive to places, burning fuel: suck. Those who collect kms when jogging: well, they don't suck. But you get the point. Now I have more time to spend with my family and posting on meaningless messageboards.
And mark my words: you will all try spoofing at one point. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

"You will all try spoofing at one point. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated."
True, I did try spoofing at one point, but I quit.

I have tried spoofing in a new account before for a few days, but I quit. The Tyranitar I caught by spoofing just wasn't "real".
Also, it just isn't fair to the players who fight gyms under the hot sun, or have to run between gyms to get their coins.
I have abandoned the spoofing account since.

Luckily Niantic made the gap between legit players and spoofers smaller by reducing the daily max coins to 50, and introducing remote feeding.

Damn dude you don't even have a DB/DC and you use a joystick? That sucks

Any bet: I will not.
I go out and play. There is literaly no reason to play this game at home.
Ihe only things i do at home is a bit of sorting out, IV-calculation and lucky-egg-sessions - mainly, preparing the next outdoor-session.

"Being a legit sucks. Trust me, I'm a doctor"?

And you're unethical? You're okay with the image you're promoting?

There used to be a long list of spoofers who run between gyms faster than Batman, and "gym ninjas" who snipe other teammates' slots after they train the gym up a level, on a local PoGo chat group.

Batman doesn't run very fast anyway in that suit.

I once sniped a free gym spot but I felt bad after doing that. I consider myself an ethical spoofer. I also help clueless legits who try to raid legendaries with Snorlax and Blissey.

Their decision. We normally raid in closed groups to keep spoofers out.

You could help them even more by actually being at the gym and explaining to them why they shouldn't use blissey and snorlax.
As a side note, I see less blisseys in raids this week in my area. Maybe the message is finally getting through.

I consider myself an ethical spoofer.

That's a contradiction, spoofing is not ethical. If you're really a doctor (MD?) I have even less respect for you (I'm an ethical health care professional).

My legit level 37 account may not be perfect but it is all mine. And I will never cheat. If I did, the game would become meaningless (and my personal ethics would not allow it anyway).

So go back to your spoofer buddies on FB and mess with the legits there. Or did they run you off?

People cheat on games when there is literally no reaso n to cheat....but they do it anyway because they are sad enough, removing all sense of real fun, satisfaction and accomplishment from the game,

like literally who cares about you and your pokemon now? None legit pokemon that you sat on a sofa and caught. Nobody.

I can only hope its worth losing every ounce of respect from its legit players and overall just being a failure. And maybe one day you will lose your account...i hope then the game was worth all the time you spent.

So yeah...we will get over you spoofing. Dont worry about it.

Im wondering more if spoofers are able to get over themselves and how lacking as a person that they are that they require cheats to accomplish anything significant.

I see what kind of people you legits are. Obnoxious, hostile, mean, intolerant, ill-informed and dumb. Are you judging my personality based on the fact I cheat in a game to make it enjoyable? You want to lose my account? Very good. Your parents must be very proud of you.
This thread is pointless. I wrote that these pictures aren't even mine. I got them from one of the spoofer groups on FB.

Unacceptable generalization.

That's 28 so far. There are 30,000 members in the spoofer FB group. GO figure.
Want to take a look? To see how deep is the rabbit hole? ;)

Deep enough to bury your moral principles. Rest in pieces ;)

It is not a big surprise that there are quite a lot of spoofers and that they organize semselves. Many legit players have seen smoke on a gym with no person in range.

I am just wondering how spoofers grind. During last event, we (a bunch of legit players) met at the park, put lure modules and walked around, for hours. With real people around, this is fun. Alone with a joystick - it must be very boring. So my conclusion: Either spoofers do not farm and - since gym change lack dust, or - once changed to the black side - they use bots to farm.

You seem to be a reasonable one, so I'm happy to answer. I have actually come here with good intentions, share information, etc. I did not expect this level of hate thou. Grinding: Bots are not recommended for grinding, as the risk of getting banned is high and you get red slash mons. I personally don't grind, I aim to catch level 30 mons most of the time. It's best to buy an account with high levels of stardust and transfer the red slash mons. Grinding is boring anyway. I sometimes just turn the autopilot on, set the travel speed to 6kmph and catch everything that comes in way. In my legit days I attended lure events in parks, people were staring at their phones, no interaction whatsoever, apart from the ones who were together anyway. It was nice but not extraordinary fun.
