WHAT IS WRONG WITH EGG DISTANCE
Somebody PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one who's egg distance started fu**ing up in the past few days. Literally out of nowhere it started giving me like a tenth of the distance it's supposed to give me, and I've been STRUGGLING TO HATCH ANYTHING ever since. Sometimes a phone reset fixes it, and other times LIKE TODAY it doesn't. I've been out here walking for an hour and 20 mins, and I've gotten LESS THAN HALF of the distance I would usually get. This game is going to make me snap man, it really is. Am I the only one this is happening to? Does NIANTIC KNOW OF THIS?

If I let a get get me that upset I'd just quit playing. It's a game. If you let it get you that upset then you're issues aren't strictly phone related.
As for the phone issue itself? Get a better phone. That's unfortunately the best option. All the tweaks and settings in the world can't turn an underpowered phone into anything more. I have a friend w a crap phone and he swears it's not the phone. Yet he is the only one with all these issues every time. It's also a pay as you go phone that was bought on a deal.

See my phone is supposed to be decent because it's a Nexus 6P, but it's actually been garbage because I got it on eBay which I really shouldn't have done, but I was trying to get a good phone on a budget and I don't have the money to replace it atm. Regardless I've had it for months, and the egg distance was fine. It's garbage in the sense that it lags and underperforms when it really shouldn't, but I still have way less lag than some other people I see playing and like I said my eggs have been fine for months. Don't see how the hell it could start messing them up now, especially when the GPS is completely fine.
